Active Data Management

Properly managed historical sensor data is a resource whose value – if updated daily – grows continuously with time.  Our database management specialists have as their highest priority the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of online access for all our clients’ historical time series data sets.

Our web services team maintains and upgrades a comprehensive library of charting tools for both end-of-day and live data feeds.  Active Data Management is at the core of our data services mission.  This means that the operational status of all the sensor data feeds under our management are always monitored to insure maximum time series contiguity.

In this chart, daily ambient high/low and interior median temperatures for a site near Taos, New Mexico are displayed.  While a number of different loggers and sensors were used over the course of this seven-year range, the historical time series are shown here in a seamless fashion.

For the same site as above, this chart displays daily net AmpHours for a PV power system.  As before, a number of different power loggers were used over time.  In October 2020 a new and more compact set of storage batteries was installed.
